How often do employees go to the office in global business centers: study

The office is not dead. Employees have been gradually returning to the workplace as COVID-19 restrictions have begun to ease.

However, the shift to remote work brought about by the pandemic has led to a shift to a new, familiar type of work – for many people, a combination of remote and office work.

A new report from the think tank Centre for Cities examines the presence of full-time workers in global financial centre offices.

In June 2024, the Centre for Cities surveyed around 1,000 staff and 250 decision-makers in city centre offices in London, New York, Paris, Sydney and Toronto. In Singapore, the survey covered around 400 staff and 100 decision-makers.
