33-year-old man arrested in connection with Stockton’s 34th homicide of 2024

A man is behind bars four days after a deadly shooting in north Stockton.

Quincy Walker, 33, was arrested by the Stockton Police Department on suspicion of homicide, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carjacking, conspiracy, and robbery. Walker was booked into San Joaquin County Jail just before 8 p.m. Monday, according to jail records.

The charges are in connection with the killing of another 33-year-old man last Thursday.

Police responded at about 2:23 am on Aug. 29 to the 100 block of East Iris Avenue, just north of East Hammer Lane, after dispatchers received a call reporting gunshots.

The first officers on scene found Princeton Holman suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Holman, a Stockton resident, was identified as the victim by the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office last Friday.

The homicide is still under investigation.

Holman’s death marks the 34th homicide of the year in Stockton, according to Officer Omer Edhah, a spokesperson for the Stockton Police Department. At this time last year, there were 33 homicides, Edhah said.
