A mother-of-three who spent a staggering $20,000 to fill her room with food that has a 25-year shelf life has revealed that her apocalypse preparations are designed to help keep her children safe if a civil war breaks out in America.

Krystal, who did not provide her full name, became a social media phenomenon after she revealed she spent 33 years preparing for an emergency because she feared her own life would come crashing down.

Speaking to Truly, the mother, who is helping her children and husband prepare for the holidays, said she is prepared for any disaster, including the election.

She revealed that she had stocked up on medical supplies, food, tech products and other things in case the “next pandemic” or a “third world war” breaks out.

The mom also responded to haters who criticized her for being prepared, claiming she always “hopes for the best” even though she plans for the worst.

A mother-of-three who spent a staggering $20,000 to fill a room with food that will last 25 years has revealed her doomsday preparations are all about keeping her children safe

She explained: “When I first started learning how to grow food, I learned from my grandfather. It was a way to feel self-sufficient and be able to grow what you wanted to eat.

“Preparation is something that has always been part of my life since I was a really little kid. My grandmother taught me how to make preserves when I was three years old and I’ve continued to do so for the past 33 years.’

She then took viewers to her prep room, where she stored hundreds of cans of food with a “25-year” shelf life.

Krystal said, “I’m a doomsday person and I prepare for everything, whether it’s the power grid going down and the electricity going out, the next pandemic, the Civil War, civil unrest, World War III. We always prepare for the worst-case scenario and we always hope for the best.”

In addition to food, Krystal keeps medications, inhalers, and technical equipment in her room.

She also revealed that the family even bought a machine to help them freeze produce.

The family revealed that they have stockpiled enough food for the entire year in their prep room.

“I’ve spent about $20,000 on preparation over the last 10 years, but I’ve saved thousands of dollars by growing and canning my own food,” the mom said.

“Everything here is always in motion, so when we need something upstairs, we pull it out of this room.”

Krystal then showed viewers where the family kept their weapons and backpacks filled with essentials they could just grab and run.

She admitted that she often encounters hate on the Internet, but she “doesn’t read (her) comments.”

Krystal’s friend confessed that when she first heard her friend was getting ready, she thought she was “crazy.”

However, after the pandemic, her friend joined her and started preparing herself.

Krystal noted that there is a lot of “social unrest” right now due to the upcoming election, adding that she wants to keep her family safe.
