A two-car collision on a street in the Maricopa Meadows neighborhood saw an SUV slam into an adjacent garage, damaging two more cars this afternoon.

Maricopa police and fire responded to the scene at 45800 West Windmill Drive just before 12:30 p.m., Phoenix Regional Dispatch reported.

According to MPS spokeswoman Monica Williams, a white Honda Civic attempted to back out of a driveway and was struck by a Volkswagen SUV, which then struck a house across the street.

“It caused damage to the garage door and two unoccupied parked vehicles,” Williams said. There were no serious physical injuries.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the accident.
