By 8:30 p.m., the fire, dubbed the Record Fire, had spread to 650 acres and was still not contained.

“As a safety precaution,” the Riverside County Fire Department said Sunday evening, “six firefighters were transported to area hospitals with minor symptoms.”

The department issued evacuation warnings that remained in effect until late Sunday night.

Cal Fire said the fire was human-caused but did not provide any details. The agency said the investigation was ongoing.

Evacuations have been issued for the Poppet Flats area, according to firefighters. The area includes the Silent Valley Club RV resort. A map of the area covered by the evacuation warning can be found here.
