Pedestrian Hit and Killed on Route 30 in Absecon

One person was killed in an early morning crash on Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) in Absecon.

Car accident involving a pedestrian

Absecon police say the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 30, just west of the Delilah Road overpass.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with police.

Police did not reveal the identity of the dead person or the driver of the vehicle.

Traffic in the area was stopped for approximately four hours.

Absecon Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.
